I know this topic isn’t really about swim wear or lingerie, but it does affect how we fit into those items apparel. Did you know that 1 in 9 woman is expected to develop breast cancer in her life time? This is the list of “10 Things You Can Do for Yourself” to reduce your risk of developing breast cancer that I received on a magnet after making a donation to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation at my local Safeway.

1) Know your body so you’ll be aware of any changes
2) Perform a breast self-exam monthly if you are 20 years of age or older
3) Go for a free mammogram when and risk appropriate
4) Schedule a yearly physical that includes a clinical breast exam
5) Avoid Having more than one drink of alcohol per day
6) Get at least 30 minutes of physical activity daily
7) Eat 5 to 10 servings of Fruit and Vegetables every day
8) Maintain a healthy lifestyle
9) Quite smoking. If you don’t smoke then don’t start
10) Reduce you daily intake of fat.
