CBS announced that the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will return this Fall. The show will take place at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach and will feature supermodels such as Heidi Klum, Adriana Limi, Marisa Miller and many more!

The 2001 telecast of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show started with a bang and 12.3 million viewers. The most recent show last December drew in 7.5 million viewers.

It’s the most expensive bra I’ve ever heard of and I haven’t a clue where I’d wear it, but this 6.5 million dollar, 800 carat diamond studded lovely is something I sure wouldn’t mind owning.  It was created by Hearts on Fire exclusively for Victoria’s Secret and contains more than 2000 diamonds.

Of course, as soon as Christmas is just around the corner, all the sales turn to Valentine’s. And in the lingerie world, that means big business. One of my favorite retailers, Figleaves, has some great lingerie ideas for Feb 14th. Like this Flirtation frill bra from SpoyIt:

To create your perfect set with the previously mentioned La Senza ITEC Bra, La Senza also has an ITEC underwear line. This underwear is also seam-free, invisible and extremely comfortable.  Almost like wearing none at all. I love it! I haven’t been able to find a picture, but it also comes in 2 sexy lacy styles: a thong and a low rise bikini brief. Again though it isn’t available on the Canadian La Senza site, so you’ll have to go in store to find it in Canada, but it is available on the La Senza UK site.

Now normally I am not taken in by advertising hype and just to be contrary I make a point of not buying things that are advertised heavily. But sometimes it just sounds too good to be true and I’ve got to check it out. That’s what the ITEC Bra sounded like to me. So I went in to La Senza and tried it on. I wasn’t meaning to purchase anything, I was just trying it on so I could give an opinion. But the ITEC bra has to be one of the most comfortable bra’s I have ever purchased.  It’s advertised as the no seam, no stretch  invisible bra. Mostly I agree but I do have a minor 2 disputes with those claims:
1)  No Seam:  yes the bra has no seams, but ring where the the straps in the front connect to the bra are slightly noticeable under some shirts
2)  No Stretch:  I have experienced a minor about of stretching. I used to clip the back in the middle, now I clip it using the smallest option. But I have never known a material that doesn’t have some sort of give to it.

Like I said minor disputes and the bra is so comfortable that nothing that makes me regret buying an ITEC bra.  It is the most comfortable bra in my drawer.  Although I do have to caution anyone who is larger than a C cup. The straps are super skinny, which makes them easy to hide, but they might cut into your shoulders.

My final opinion: An awesome bra, extremely comfortable. I recommend it.  Oddly enough it cannot be found on the Canadian La Senza site, so you’ll have to go in store to buy it.  In store they have a few variations of the bra pictured. More colors and a lacey overlay.  It can be found on the La Senza UK Site though.

Canadians like myself will be saddened by the news that Victoria’s Secret has no immediate plans to open stores in Canada. This, also, despite a recent takeover of La Senza:

Victoria’s Secret bras and panties aren’t likely to be available in La Senza stores (TSX:LSZ) despite its U.S. parent company’s deal to buy the Canadian lingerie retailer.

La Senza will continue to operate independently and there also aren’t any immediate plans for Victoria’s Secret to open its own stores in Canada, Laurence Lewin, president and chief operating officer of the Montreal-based company, said Thursday.

"The short answer is there’s no particular plan for Victoria’s Secret coming to Canada," Lewin told a conference call.

Asked if La Senza and Victoria’s Secret could co-exist in the Canadian market, Lewin replied: "There’s a lot less lingerie stores in Canada than there are fashion and clothing stores. It’s possible, but it’s not part of this strategy. I don’t think anybody is thinking about it at this time."…

"There’s going to be a period of testing the waters, seeing how different the market is, maybe there is some co-branding in stores that could be done or there’s certain locations that might be Victoria’s Secret and others La Senza," said Evans.

It also could be an opportunity for the La Senza banner to re-enter the U.S. market, she added.

She said it could be "six months to a year before we see anything" in terms of getting Victoria’s Secret lingerie into La Senza stores.

Retail analyst John Winter said Victoria’s Secret is an extraordinarily strong brand that could do well in Canada. Winter also said the deal is bad news for La Senza competitor La Vie en Rose. [CBC]

I am happy, though, that we may start to see Victoria’s Secret products in La Senza. I’ll take the consolation prize any day.

I’ve been on the search for comfortable pajama pants. I am picky though, I don’t like lace, satin, elastics or anything else binding for sleeping in. Cotton all the way. And the colors have to be dark.  So I headed up to one of the malls here to check out the lingerie stores.  I was very pleasantly surprised by the colors I saw. Vibrant
jewel bright tones greeted my eyes. I didn’t find the pants I was looking for, but the colors did entice me to purchase this lovely paprika bra by Roselle at La Vie en Rose. And to make matters even better, since I wasn’t shopping for a new bra in the first place, La Vie
was having a 2 for 1 sale on Roselle bras. So I also picked up a black lacey number too.

Kate Moss has appeared in naughty lingerie in an online ad for Agent Provocateur. Its the first of 4 steamy commercial dreams where Kate stars as ‘Miss X’.

"The supermodel has been signed up by underwear giant Agent Provocateur to front their latest advertising campaign. The first advert, a short four-minute film, features Kate in bed dressed in all-black in a pair of tiny briefs, a corset, bra, sexy tights and a pair of leather gloves. At the moment fans will have to log onto the company’s website to see the steamy film, the first in a series of four. It is not yet known if it will be aired on television.  Kate is even more daring in the third film of the Agent Provocateur ‘Miss X’ series, in which she strips off naked."  Life Style Extra Reports
